Three Mountains Heavy & Rapier Championship Demonstration 2019

In 4 days, the Three Mountains Heavy & Rapier Championship Demonstration will be upon us! Fighters from around the valley will submit themselves to their Excellencies on June 1st at Taborspace in SE Portland, vying to become the next heavy combat and rapier champions of Three Mountains!

This event is being held as a public demonstration and we also hope to have a number of arts & science, bardic and newcomer exhibitions as well as hands on activities to show off what we as a Barony and as a Society are all about. Bring a picnic and help present our best that the SCA has to offer!

Important Details:

  • Address to Taborspace is 5441 SE Belmont St., Portland, OR 97215
  • NO SITE FEE – this is a free event
  • THIS IS A COMPLETELY DRY SITE
  • DUE TO LIMITED PARKING, CARPOOLING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
  • Gate will open to setup at 10am and closes at 4:30pm
  • Their Excellencies request those vying for a Championship to present themselves and any pledges of intent you may have in morning court at 11:00 am

  • There will be hands on activities including Youth and Family Activities, a Kuub tournament and the Viking Box game.

  • Heavy armored combat championship tournament
  • Rapier combat championship tournament
  • Weaving – hands on demonstrations
  • Bookbinding demonstrations
  • Games and a short format Kuub Tournament
  • Riveted chainmail exhibition
  • Hand sewing examples
  • Scribal and illumination demonstrations

If you wish to help, we have need of:

  • Site setup and tear down
  • Gate
  • Marshals
  • Field Heralds
  • Brute Squad since parking is limited, many hands will be needed to help folks unload fast.
