Come join us for a day of celebration of Dame Be’akbell of Dumfries. The day will have classes and gathering focused on Dame Be’ak’s loves: Fiber Arts, Largesse, and food from the Mediterranean- Portugal to Morocco. A large part of the event is also includes The Barony of Three Mountains Arts and Sciences Championship.
Our honoree this year is the lovely and talented Be’ak of Dumfries, and this year’s competition has been designed to reflect her passions. Competitors will be asked to submit two entries in the following categories:
- Be’ak is a pillar of largesse-making and organizing, so the first entry is a delightful duo in the medium of your choice. This involves two high-end items, suitable to be given as prizes or particularly fancy largesse. Time to show off your creative prowess! (Entrants will be allowed to pick an item from their competitors’ duo to take home in recognition of their hard work)
- In addition, Be’ak is a passionate fiber crafter, and requests the second entry be a project based in the fiber arts. This can include “classic” fiber arts like sewing, weaving, knitting, etc, but we would love to see creative interpretations!
As our honoree is a proud 14th century Scotswoman, bonus points will be awarded to items that are 14th century and/or Scottish in origin.
Judges will be using the Kingdom A&S rubrics found here: www.baronyofthreemountains.org/documents/downloads/
We encourage you to consult the rubrics to give the best possible entry.

As your current Baronial A&S Champion, I am happy to advise on rubric and project choice. The deadline for entering is October 10, so I can find appropriate judges.
Let’s make this a great competition!
