Letter from the Coronet – June 2018

Greetings to the People of Three Mountains,

First we would like to congratulate His Royal Highness, Sir Christian Bane for winning the day at May Crown.  He and his inspiration, Her Royal Highness Helene d’anjou, will step up at July Coronation.  Huzzah to both of them.

We started our tourney season off with a bang by attending the Egils Skallgrimson memorial tournament.  We spotted many of our Champions at the event, including Sir Ishtvan, Matthias von Schwarzenberg, Thomas O’Malley, and Refskeg of House Bread.  We saw in person and heard from reports that all of our Champions acquitted themselves with honor bringing word fame to themselves and to the Barony.  We held a roving court with Her Excellency of Stromgard by popping into House Daos’s encampment.  We delivered an Award of Arms from their Majesties Savaric and Dala to Kaisa Isaaksdotter.  We presented Golden Torc’s to Eden the Mad, Yfa Ystalwyn and Talieson Ystalwyn.  We also admitted the newlywed Tullia Saturnina into the Order of the Myrtle Leaf.  The Prophet of Daos presented their ambassador to Three Mountains, Talieson Ystalwn.  We received newly minted coins that were made by the Monyers Guild of An Tir, and designed in part by Eden the Mad, whom we gave the first coin to.

We are currently planning the Baronial encampments for July Coronation and A Game of Thrones & Stormgods, both held at Zumstein Farm in the Barony of Stromgard.  If you would like to have space saved for you, please contact his Excellency.  We have room for both period and non-period tents and structures at both events.

We have not received any bids for the Sergeants Regalia or the Circlet Boxes to hold the Baronial Coronets.  We will be extending the time to receive bids.  If you know someone who has the ability, or can craft them yourself, please spread the word or submit a bid to council as soon as you can.

We have also not received bids for the Heavy/Rapier Champions tournament, nor for Yule.  We are about due for another Orders meeting as well.  We would like to encourage all to consider running these 1 day events.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us or the Seneschal for more details on what service to your Barony entails as an Event Steward.

And finally, our progress:

  • July Coronation, July 22nd-24th
  • A Game of Thrones & Stormgods, July 27th-29th
  • Kaldor Ness Arts & Sciences, August 10th-12th
  • Archery Academy, August 17th-18th

Yours In Service To The Dream,

Sebastiaen & Erika

Baron & Baroness Three Mountains
