Barony Announces Request For Bids For Two Commissions – 2018

Greetings Citizens of An Tir,

Our Kingdom is well known for its artisans and crafts persons.  As such we have chosen to take advantage of this wealth, and with our Council’s approval, are opening two bid processes for items that we are in need of.  We would like to invite any and all artists to submit a proposal for completing these items.

The first item up for bid will be a pair of boxes to store and transport the Baronial circlets.  The rough dimensions will be located in the Circlet RFB document that is listed below for download, however the circlets will be made available for measurement to the party who is chosen by the Three Mountains Baronial Council to complete the work.  The materials used will be the choice of the artist, but the final product should maintain a reasonably period aesthetic, should be relatively easy to maintain and clean, and ultimately be built in a fashion that will protect the Baronial circlets for hopefully decades of constant use and travel.  Additional requirements and details needed to include with your proposal will be located in the Circlet RFB document shown below for download.

The second item that we are requesting bids for are to design and create new regalia for the Sergeantry of Three Mountains.  Our previous regalia was a large brass belt buckle of the Baronial arms.  We would like designs that make this regalia slightly smaller and something that can be worn in different configurations to potentially accommodate different period clothing.  Different regalia can be designed for each of Sergeantry groups (sergeants, gallants, courtiers, yeoman, etc.), but it is not required. The ruggedness of the end product must be taken into consideration as some sergeants like to wear their regalia into combat.  Ease of re-ordering and manufacture of additional pieces beyond our initial order must be considered in case the number of Sergeants within the Barony exceeds our stock of regalia.  All details for these bids will be located in the Sergeant Regalia RFB document below.

Email your bids to rfb[AT]baronyofthreemountains.org.  This will deliver the bids to the Baron and Baroness of Three Mountains as well as the Seneschal, so please address accordingly.  All bids will be posted to the Three Mountains Baronial website as they are received so that the citizens may consider their merit, with the hope that they can be discussed in the May 15th council meeting and a decision made by the citizens at the June 19th council meeting (barring any administrative holds by the seneschal or council which will be announced as they occur here on the website).  The goal is to take delivery on all items by August 2018, preferably in court at an event local to the Tri-Baronial region.  Later delivery can be accepted but must be included in your bid and can be no later than evening court of Three Mountains Yule (date as yet to be determined).  There are additional details, so please read the RFB documents.
